Age: 33
Place of Residence: Sterling, VA
Faux DC Projects: Assistant Site Editor, Bad
Blood, Green Lantern,
JLA, Crisis
of Destiny, Green Lantern Army, and various other one-shot issues you'll find if you dig
around the site long enough.
Faux DC Ambition: To weave my original characters seamlessly into
the FDC continuity
Real World Ambition: To write a best-selling novel, option the
movie rights, and live off the royalties while staying home reading comic
books all day
Favorite DC Character: Green Lantern
Favorite Mid-Afternoon Snack: Stacy's Pita Chips and Mountain Dew
My Origin in 20 words or less: Birth. Wonder. Literacy. Expansion.
Imagination. Comics. Rapture. Collection. Appreciation. Inspiration. Invention.
Obsession. Salt. Tequila. Lime. Repeat. Unconsciousness. Awakening. Re-invention.
Publication.
Influences on my Faux DC work will be: Brian K. Vaughn, Kurt Busiek, Grant Morrison,
Neil Gaiman, Warren Ellis, Chris Claremont, Douglas Copland, Robert Asprin,
Piers Anthony, Stephen King, Andrew Lee and the Superfriends cartoons
I hate the way Brad Meltzer has handled Justice League of America because
well, honestly, I haven't read Meltzer's JLA, but I resent that he was given the assignment and I refused to pick the title up while he was on it. The guy thought that Deathstroke could out-willpower Kyle and could stab Wally by distracting him. He doesn't understand how super-powers work, so why should I read his take on the ultimate super-powered team? RANT RANT RANT.
The first DC comic I read when I get home is: Usually JLA Classified or Green Lantern, though lately it's been Lord Havok and the Extremists (how long until that answer seems really dated???)
And when I'm reading that comic I listen to: Vans Warped Tour compilations
And when I ain't writin' or readin' comics, I : pull down a paycheck
as a web developer, dazzle my friends and colleagues with my vast knowledge
of pop culture trivia, and continue my lifelong quest to obtain a bottle
of Pimm's No. 4. I also enjoy being married to the awesomest chick in the multiverse.
But all of this is irrelevant 'cos : I'm just a squirrel tryin'
to get a nut, baby.
